Hamblen Co., TN – One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 N/MM 13

Hamblen County, TN (July 15, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 North in Hamblen County on the morning of July 15 resulted in one person being injured. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), the accident occurred near mile marker 13 and involved multiple vehicles, including one that overturned, blocking at least one lane of the interstate. The crash happened during morning commute hours, causing delays and drawing a rapid response from local authorities.

Emergency crews arrived quickly to assist at the scene. One individual sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility for evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed, but they were reported to be in stable condition. TDOT and local police worked to clean up the roadway. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office.
