Cicero, NY – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 Leaves One Injured

Cicero, NY (August 10, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 81 in Cicero prompted a large emergency response on Friday afternoon, August 8. The crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. between Exit 30 (State Route 31) and Exit 29 (Interstate 481), according to the Onondaga County 911 Center. Multiple ambulances were dispatched after initial reports indicated that one person was unconscious at the scene. New York State Police and local fire crews arrived within minutes, providing medical assistance to the injured. Paramedics treated several individuals at the scene, with at least one person transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
