Syracuse, NY – Multi-Vehicle Crash With Injuries on I-81 NB at Exits 23–24

Syracuse, NY (November 22, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident with reported injuries occurred on Wednesday, November 19, on Interstate 81 northbound near the Hiawatha Boulevard, Park Street, and Onondaga Lake Parkway exits. Syracuse Police and New York State Troopers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a collision affecting several lanes of traffic.

The incident caused significant delays as officers worked to assist injured individuals and secure the crash site. At least one person sustained injuries that required on-site medical attention before being taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Other motorists involved were checked for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the scene. Investigators are still determining what caused the crash. Multiple tow trucks were needed to remove the damaged vehicles.
