Shenandoah Co., VA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-81 Leaves One Dead, Children Injured

Shenandoah County, VA (November 6, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle collision on Interstate 81 claimed one life and left two children injured, according to the Virginia State Police. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-81 on November 6, around 9:30 p.m. Initial investigations revealed that two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, causing one to overturn along the roadway.

Troopers and emergency personnel responded promptly, finding one adult driver deceased at the scene. Two children who were passengers in one of the vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been released. Authorities closed portions of the highway for several hours while investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash and clear the wreckage.
