Richland, NY – Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-81 S Injures at Least One

Richland, NY (August 14, 2025) – On the afternoon of August 14, a multi-vehicle accident on I-81 southbound between Tinker Tavern Road (Exit 121) and Route 104 (Exit 118) in Richland resulted in reported injuries. The New York State Department of Transportation confirmed that multiple vehicles were involved in the crash.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and provided on-site medical care to at least one injured occupant before arranging transport to a local medical facility. The extent of the injuries sustained has not yet been made public. Troopers from the New York State Police conducted a preliminary investigation.
