Harrisburg, PA – Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-81 Leaves Injuries Near Exit 77
Harrisburg, PA (September 29, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision caused injuries on Interstate 81 northbound around 1.9 miles south of Exit 77 for PA-39/Manada Hill-Hershey.
Pennsylvania State Police reported that several vehicles were involved in the crash, forcing authorities to block portions of the roadway as they assisted victims and cleared damaged cars from travel lanes. EMS crews assessed multiple individuals, transporting at least one injured driver to a local hospital for additional evaluation. Other motorists reported pain but declined further treatment.
The crash caused backups stretching for several miles during the morning commute. Troopers conducted on-site interviews and examined tire marks to determine whether sudden braking or lane changes contributed to the collision.
