Great Bend, PA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-81 Near Exit 230

Great Bend, PA (July 23, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident on the northbound lanes of I-81 resulted in several injuries on the morning of July 23. The crash occurred between 1.9 miles south and 0.8 miles north of Exit 230 for PA 171 near the Great Bend/Susquehanna area.

Emergency crews and the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the scene shortly after the collision was reported. Injuries were confirmed at the scene, and several individuals received treatment from on-site paramedics. The injured were later transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation.

The condition of the victims has not been made public at this time. Investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police are actively working to determine what led to the crash.
