Delano Twp., PA – Crash on I-81 SB Claims One Life, Several Injured

Delano Township, PA (November 17, 2025) – A devastating multi-vehicle crash on Friday, November 15, claimed the life of a Shenandoah man and injured several others along Interstate 81. Pennsylvania State Police reported that the collision occurred in the southbound lanes at mile marker 135.5 near the Delano exit. Investigators said a passenger vehicle struck a tractor-trailer, triggering a secondary crash involving another car that rolled multiple times before coming to rest in the northbound lanes.

Emergency responders from Frackville and several nearby departments arrived quickly, but 25-year-old Danyel Miller was pronounced deceased at the scene due to severe injuries. The tractor-trailer driver and the operator of the third vehicle sustained injuries and were evaluated by EMS personnel before being transported for additional medical care.

PSP investigators spent several hours documenting the scene to determine factors that led to the deadly chain reaction. No further details on the conditions of the surviving drivers have been released.
