Bristol, VA – Three-Vehicle Crash on I-81 NB/MM 6.9 Results in Injuries

Bristol, VA (November 30, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 81 northbound near Mile Marker 6.9 left at least two people injured on Sunday, November 30. According to the Virginia State Police, troopers arrived at the scene around 11:28 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious traffic crash in the area. When they arrived, police found three vehicles with significant damage spread across the left and center northbound lanes.

The impact caused immediate traffic delays as responders evaluated the injured and secured the scene. Two victims sustained injuries that required medical attention, with at least one person transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Another victim was treated at the scene for less severe injuries. VSP troopers conducted preliminary roadway assessments and began interviewing involved drivers to determine what led to the multi-vehicle collision.
