Augusta Co., VA – Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-81/MM 237

Augusta County, VA (December 18, 2025) – Injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle crash on I-81 in Augusta County on Wednesday, December 18. According to the Virginia State Police, the collision occurred near mile marker 237 and involved multiple vehicles traveling in the same direction. Troopers arrived to find damaged vehicles blocking portions of the roadway and injured occupants requiring assistance.

Several individuals were evaluated at the scene, and one person was reportedly transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed. Traffic slowed significantly as officers worked to secure the scene and clear debris from the interstate. Tow trucks were requested to remove disabled vehicles.
