Washington Co, MD – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 Near Exit 7

Washington County, MD (March 6, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident on I-81 Southbound before Exit 7 (Route 58/Salem Avenue) in Washington County caused injuries on March 6. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found multiple vehicles involved, blocking several lanes and causing a heavy traffic backup stretching into Franklin County. At least one person suffered injuries, though the extent of their condition has not been officially confirmed. Paramedics provided immediate medical attention, and the injured victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further care. Maryland State Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
