Union Township, PA (August 4, 2024) – A deadly crash involving three trucks occurred on I-81, about a mile west of the Interstate 78 interchange, early Saturday morning, August 4. State Police at Jonestown reported that the accident happened around 4 a.m. and resulted in the death of 31-year-old Adrian Jemmott from Trenton, New Jersey. Jemmott was a passenger in a box truck driven by John Concepcion, 35, of Hamilton Township, NJ. The box truck veered off the highway, striking a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder before re-entering the roadway and colliding with another box truck. Both Concepcion and the other box truck driver were transported to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with injuries. The driver of the parked tractor-trailer was unharmed. Jemmott was pronounced dead at the scene, with the extent of the damage making it unclear whether he was wearing a seatbelt. The local police are handling the crash investigation and indicated that Concepcion would be cited for the crash.
