Tully, NY – Fiery Tractor-Trailer Collision on I-81/Exit 66 Leaves Injuries
Tully, NY (July 2, 2025) – A serious crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle resulted in injuries and a vehicle fire early Wednesday morning, July 2, on I-81 northbound near Exit 66 in Tully. The collision occurred at around 5:56 a.m., according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.
Witnesses reported that a tractor-trailer collided with another vehicle, sparking a fire that quickly engulfed one of the vehicles involved. State police and emergency medical personnel responded promptly to the scene. First responders closed the highway at 6:06 a.m. to ensure the safety of those involved and to allow firefighters to contain and extinguish the blaze. Several individuals sustained injuries in the crash. The exact number of victims has not been confirmed. It was reported that those injured received immediate medical attention and were later transported to local hospitals for further evaluation.
