Syracuse, NY – Several Injured in I-81 NB Crash near Adams St Exit

Syracuse, NY (April 20, 2025) – Multiple people sustained injuries in a crash that took place during peak evening hours on April 17 along Interstate 81 northbound, between the East Colvin Street on-ramp and Exit 18 for Adams Street. According to reports from the New York State Police, the incident involved several vehicles and temporarily blocked the northbound lanes, causing significant delays in downtown Syracuse. Troopers and local authorities responded promptly, providing first aid to victims at the scene and facilitating the transportation of the injured individuals to a local hospital for further care. The New York State Police are continuing their investigation and have not yet released the identities of those injured.
