Rockingham Co., VA – Multiple Injured in Crash on I-81/Port Republic Rd.

Rockingham County, VA (October 5, 2025) – Virginia State Police responded to a crash with injuries on the northbound Interstate 81 at Mile Marker 245, roughly 0.7 miles south of the Port Republic Road exit on October 5. The collision involved at least two vehicles in moderate Sunday traffic. One vehicle came to rest partially on the shoulder, while the other suffered front-end damage in the right lane.

Troopers arrived alongside Rockingham County EMS, who provided on-site treatment to several occupants. At least one individual was transported to Sentara RMH Medical Center for further care. Crews worked swiftly to remove debris and reopen travel lanes.
