Rockingham Co., VA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 NB Near Exit 251

Rockingham County, VA (June 6, 2025) – On the evening of June 6, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 81 near mile marker 250.1, just over a mile south of Exit 251 to US-11 in Rockingham County. Virginia State Police responded swiftly to the scene upon receiving reports of the crash. Preliminary reports indicate that at least two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, resulting in multiple people sustaining injuries. Medical personnel evaluated several victims on-site.

At least one individual was transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment, though the full extent of their injuries has not yet been publicly released.
