Rockbridge Co., VA – One Injured in SB I-81 Crash Near US-60 Exit

Rockbridge County, VA (October 21, 2025) – Authorities responded to a crash with injuries on Tuesday morning, October 21, on I-81 southbound near mile marker 186, 2.8 miles south of the US-60 East Exit 188A. According to the Virginia State Police, multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, which occurred during the morning commute and caused temporary lane closures in the area. Emergency crews arrived promptly to assist the injured and clear the scene. One individual was treated at the scene for sustained injuries and later transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.
