Roanoke Co., VA – Multiple Injuries in SB I-81 Crash Near Exit 132

Roanoke County, VA (April 13, 2025) – A crash involving multiple vehicles led to several injuries along southbound Interstate 81 in Roanoke County on Sunday, April 13. According to the Virginia State Police, the accident occurred around mile marker 133.5, one mile north of Route 647 (Exit 132). The crash involved at least two vehicles and happened during the early evening hours, causing significant delays and drawing multiple emergency units to the scene.

First responders with the Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department and Virginia State Police assessed the situation and provided medical aid to the injured. Several individuals sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. Others were treated at the scene for minor wounds. At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
