Middlesex, PA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 S near Exits 52 & 49

Middlesex, PA (March 16, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 southbound near Exit 52 (US 11/TO I-76 Turnpike) and Exit 49 (PA 641 – High Street) resulted in multiple injuries on March 16. The Pennsylvania State Police reported that several vehicles were involved in the collision, leading to a chain reaction that caused extensive damage to multiple cars. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, arrived on the scene to assist victims and manage traffic congestion. Several injured individuals received immediate medical attention at the scene, while others were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Authorities have not yet released details on the conditions of those injured. State police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
