Luzerne Co., PA – Injury Crash on I-81 NB Near Exits 141–143

Luzerne County, PA (November 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on I-81 northbound left at least one person injured Tuesday morning, November 11, between the PA-424/Exit 141 interchange and the PA-924/Exit 143 off-ramp. The crash occurred during the late-morning travel period when several vehicles made contact in a congested stretch of the highway, according to preliminary reports.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived to find one occupant suffering from injuries consistent with the impact. Troopers assisted the victim until EMS crews provided further evaluation and transported them to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The northbound lanes experienced delays as officers restricted traffic to allow responders to safely work the scene.

Tow operators later removed the damaged vehicles, and the roadway was fully reopened once debris was cleared. Investigators are continuing to examine the cause of the crash.
