Luzern County, PA – Injury Multi-Car Crash on I-81 near the Dorrance Exit

Luzern County, PA (November 20, 2023) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound lanes of I-81 around 1:30 p.m. this Monday, November 20th, near the Dorrance exit (159). Following the incident, the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 were shut down due to the severity of the multi-vehicle crash near the Dorrance exit. Emergency responders at the scene reported the involvement of three cars, a van, and a pickup, resulting in several injuries. First responders, in collaboration with PennDOT, closed sections of the interstate to facilitate their efforts. As of now, authorities have not disclosed the factors leading to the collision, and investigations are actively underway to determine the root cause.
