Linglestown, PA – Multi-Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-81/Exit 72B Causes Injuries
Linglestown, PA (August 18, 2024) – A crash involving multiple tractor-trailers on I-81 in Dauphin County resulted in injuries and significant traffic delays on Thursday morning, August 15th. The accident occurred around 8:45 a.m., approximately 1.9 miles north of Exit 72B in Linglestown, according to 511PA. Images from the scene revealed three tractor-trailers stopped in the right-hand lane, causing traffic to stretch past Exit 77. Pennsylvania State Police arrived on-site to manage and assist the injured drivers. Fortunately, the injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and those affected received medical attention either on-site or at nearby hospitals. Authorities implemented a lane restriction to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. Traffic in the area remained backed up for several hours.
