Lebanon, PA – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-81/MM 82.5 Leaves Multiple Casualties

Lebanon, PA (August 31, 2024) – A fatal crash involving a motorcycle on I-81 claimed the life of at least one person and left injuries on Saturday, August 31st. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reported the accident occurred in the southbound lanes near the Homestead Road underpass at mile marker 82.5. The crash first reported around 5:21 p.m., led to significant delays as emergency responders arrived at the scene. The number of vehicles involved remains unclear, as does the exact number of injuries or fatalities. However, initial reports indicate that the accident was severe and resulted in at least one fatality and several sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The Pennsylvania State Police have taken over the investigation, working to determine the cause of the crash and identify those involved.
