Hazle Twp, PA – Injuries Reported in I-81 Crash Near Exit 143/PA-924

Hazle Township, PA (June 29, 2025) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred along Interstate 81 Southbound near Exit 143 at PA-924 in Hazle Township on Sunday, June 29. The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the crash, which was reported during the afternoon hours.  Authorities confirmed that multiple individuals sustained injuries of varying severity. Emergency responders provided on-site medical assessment to those with non-life-threatening injuries, while at least one person was transported to a nearby medical facility for more extensive treatment.

The wreck caused congestion stretching back several miles, as responders worked to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the highway. Officials also monitored for possible fluid leaks and other hazards caused by the impact. The exact cause of the accident is under active investigation by state troopers.
