According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident brought southbound traffic to a crawl as first responders rushed to the scene. Emergency crews provided immediate assistance at the site, with several individuals requiring hospital care due to moderate injuries. Authorities temporarily closed two lanes of I-81 southbound to allow for cleanup and a thorough investigation. Tow trucks were called in to remove the damaged vehicles, one of which was reported to have sustained heavy front-end damage. Investigators are still investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
