Harper Tavern, PA – Injury Crash on I-81 NB near MP 84

Harper Tavern, PA (December 6, 2025) – A crash in Lebanon County caused injuries and shut down a section of Interstate 81 northbound on Friday, December 5.

The crash happened around 7:45 p.m., according to 511PA. It occurred near milepost 84 in East Hanover Twp. Officials have not released details on what caused the collision or how many vehicles were involved, but at least one person suffered injuries in the impact.

State Police and emergency crews responded to the scene and provided aid to the injured. The victim’s condition has not been shared. Due to the crash, troopers closed I-81 NB at Exit 80 (Grantville) by 8:30 p.m. as responders worked to help the injured and clear the roadway.
