Hagerstown, MD – Injury Crash on I-81 NB Near MM 5

Hagerstown, MD (December 12, 2025) – At least one person was hurt after a collision on Wednesday, December 10, on Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 5. Washington County fire and rescue units were dispatched around 4:27 p.m. after reports of a personal injury crash.

Several emergency crews arrived to find vehicles damaged and at least one person needing medical help. First responders treated the injured at the scene before transporting them for further care.

Officials have not released the number of people involved or the extent of their injuries.

Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash. Tow trucks arrived later to remove the vehicles and clear the roadway.
