Franklin County, PA – Fatal Collision on I-81 Near Exit 3 Involving Dump Truck and Pedestrian

Franklin County, PA (September 22, 2023) – Tragedy struck in Franklin County early this morning, September 22nd, as a fatal collision occurred on Interstate 81. The incident involved a dump truck and a pedestrian, leading to a fatality.

PennDOT and local emergency dispatchers reported that the accident occurred at approximately 7:30 A.M. The location of the incident was between Exit 3 (U.S. 11/Molly Pitcher Highway) and the Maryland State Line.

Regrettably, the pedestrian involved in the collision lost their life in the aftermath of the accident. Their identity has not been disclosed at this time, pending notification of their family.
