Franklin Co, PA – Two-Vehicle Crash in I-81/MM 19, Injuries Reported
Franklin County, PA (January 16, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident on I-81 near mile marker 19 left one vehicle overturned and caused injuries on Wednesday evening, January 16. The crash occurred around 4:49 p.m., prompting a swift response from Franklin Fire Company crews. When firefighters arrived, they found an overturned vehicle and another car with significant damage. Remarkably, occupants of the overturned vehicle managed to free themselves before emergency personnel reached the scene. Medics and firefighters worked together to provide immediate care, stabilizing the injured and transporting them to local hospitals for further treatment. Traffic on I-81 was temporarily diverted as responders cleared the wreckage and conducted a preliminary investigation. Authorities have not released additional details about the victims’ identities or their current conditions. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
