Franklin Co, PA – Tow Truck Driver Injured in Crash on I-81/MM I-81

Franklin County, PA (February 6, 2025) – A tow truck driver sustained injuries following a crash on I-81 in Franklin County on the morning of February 6. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred at around 6:25 a.m. near mile marker 23 on I-81 northbound. A passenger vehicle collided with a tow truck as the truck operator was preparing to tow another vehicle from the roadside. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured tow truck driver, who was later transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger vehicle driver did not report any immediate injuries, though further evaluations may be conducted. The investigation remains ongoing as officials determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
