Fall Branch, TN – Two Tractor-Trailers Crash on I-81/MM 52.6, Injuries Reported
Fall Branch, TN (January 6, 2025) – A crash involving two tractor-trailers caused injuries on I-81 North in Washington County on Monday afternoon, January 6. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 52.6, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). The THP report states that a tractor-trailer traveling northbound veered off the left side of the roadway, over-corrected, and re-entered the interstate, striking another tractor-trailer in the right lane. The impact left both vehicles significantly damaged and caused debris to scatter across the highway.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to provide aid. Injuries were reported among the drivers, with one transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the first tractor-trailer was cited for failure to maintain control. The THP is continuing its investigation into the crash.
