Fall Branch, TN – Multi-Vehicle Crash on SB I-81 Near MM 54.6
Fall Branch, TN (September 19, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 81 at mile marker 54.6 on Friday, September 19. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. in Sullivan County.
According to THP, a Cadillac XT4 was slowing in the right lane, while a Ford F-250 was slowing in the left lane beside it. The Ford attempted to merge into the right lane, side-swiping the Cadillac. The Ford then entered the grass shoulder, rolled onto its roof, and came to rest on its wheels, while the Cadillac moved into the grass median. Both the driver and passenger of the Ford were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. All occupants were wearing seatbelts, and no charges have been filed as of this time.
