Botetourt Co., VA – Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-81 at MM 162

Botetourt County, VA (March 15, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 Southbound, near Mile Marker 162 just past the US-11 Exit, left several individuals injured on March 15. According to reports from the Virginia State Police, the collision completely blocked all southbound lanes. First responders worked quickly to assist the injured while also directing traffic away from the crash site. The severity of the injuries remains unknown at this time.

Fire and rescue teams also responded to assist in clearing the damaged vehicles, some of which sustained severe structural damage. The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward with information.
