Berkeley Co., WV – Injuries Sustained in I-81 NB Collision Near MM 5

Berkeley County, WV (June 17, 2025) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles resulted in injuries along Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 5 in Berkeley County on June 17. West Virginia State Police responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported. Initial findings indicate that several vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, prompting an immediate emergency response. Upon arrival, troopers and Berkeley County EMS found multiple individuals requiring medical assistance. The injured parties were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. The crash caused temporary traffic congestion and lane closures as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage.
